Ingredients
Scale
2 cups frozen dumplings (chicken, pork, or vegetable)
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1 tablespoon chopped green onions (for garnish)
1 tablespoon sesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
In a large oven-safe skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the frozen dumplings in a single layer and cook for about 3-4 minutes until they start to brown on the bottom.
While the dumplings are browning, mix the chicken broth, soy sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and sesame oil in a bowl.
Once the dumplings are browned, carefully pour the broth mixture over them in the skillet.
Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the dumplings are cooked through and the broth has reduced slightly.
Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
Notes
For a spicy kick, add a teaspoon of sriracha or chili paste to the broth mixture.
You can substitute the frozen dumplings with homemade dumplings or other frozen appetizers like potstickers or spring rolls for variety.
