A quick and delightful recipe for Garlic Butter Lemon Salmon that is easy to prepare and packed with flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 (6-ounce) salmon fillets
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 lemon, juiced and zested
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
  3. Stir in the lemon juice, lemon zest, dried thyme, salt, and pepper. Remove from heat and set aside.
  4. Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet, skin-side down. Brush the garlic butter mixture generously over the top of each fillet.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
  6. Remove from the oven and let it rest for a couple of minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • For a crispy finish, broil the salmon for the last 2-3 minutes of cooking.
  • Add vegetables like asparagus or broccoli to the baking sheet for a complete meal.
