Ingredients
Scale
2 pounds chicken wings
1/2 cup sweet chili sauce
1/4 cup lime juice (about 2 limes)
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon honey
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
Fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with aluminum foil. Place a wire rack on top of the baking sheet for better air circulation.
In a large bowl, combine the sweet chili sauce, lime juice, soy sauce, honey, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Mix well.
Add the chicken wings to the bowl and toss until they are evenly coated with the marinade. For best flavor, let the wings marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours.
Arrange the marinated wings in a single layer on the wire rack. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the wings are crispy and cooked through.
Remove the wings from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped cilantro before serving.
Notes
For extra crispiness, broil the wings for an additional 2-3 minutes after baking.
Try adding a teaspoon of smoked paprika for a smoky flavor or substitute the sweet chili sauce with a spicy version for more heat.
