- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
- Cut day-old croissants into 1-inch pieces and layer half in the baking dish. Sprinkle half the chocolate chips over them.
- Layer the remaining croissants on top and add the rest of the chocolate chips.
- In a bowl, whisk together milk, eggs, sugar, vanilla, and salt until smooth.
- Pour custard mixture over the croissants and press gently to soak.
- Let it rest for 10-15 minutes to absorb custard.
- Bake uncovered for 45-50 minutes until golden brown and custard is set.
- Dust with powdered sugar and serve warm with fresh berries or whipped cream.
