  • 1 cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips Can substitute with dark or milk chocolate
  • 2 cups Whole Milk Almond or coconut milk can be used as alternatives
  • 4 large Eggs For vegan option, use flax eggs
  • 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar Brown sugar can be substituted
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1 pinch Salt
For Serving
  • 1 cup Powdered Sugar For dusting before serving

Method
 

Directions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. Cut day-old croissants into 1-inch pieces and layer half in the baking dish. Sprinkle half the chocolate chips over them.
  3. Layer the remaining croissants on top and add the rest of the chocolate chips.
  4. In a bowl, whisk together milk, eggs, sugar, vanilla, and salt until smooth.
  5. Pour custard mixture over the croissants and press gently to soak.
  6. Let it rest for 10-15 minutes to absorb custard.
  7. Bake uncovered for 45-50 minutes until golden brown and custard is set.
  8. Dust with powdered sugar and serve warm with fresh berries or whipped cream.
