Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a baking pan with nonstick spray and parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, toss the apples with lemon juice, flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, cloves, and salt. Let sit for 10 minutes.
  3. Melt the salted butter, then mix in flour, oats, light brown sugar, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt until crumbly.
  4. Press half of the mixture into the prepared pan, layer the apple filling on top, and crumble the remaining topping over the apples.
  5. Bake for 38 to 45 minutes until golden brown and apples are tender. Cool for 1-2 hours before slicing.
  6. For caramel, cook sugar in a saucepan until deep amber, then stir in butter and cream until smooth. Let cool.
  7. Slice the bars and drizzle with salted caramel. Serve warm or at room temperature.
