For the Sauce
  • 4 tbsp Butter essential for richness

  • 1 cup Chicken Broth can substitute with vegetable broth
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream use half-and-half or non-dairy substitute for lighter versions
  • 1 tsp Smoked Paprika substitutable with regular paprika or cayenne
  • 1 cup Cheddar Cheese optional for dairy-free version
  • 1 tsp Chili Powder adjust based on heat preference

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the linguine and cook according to package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  2. Melt 4 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Season chicken breasts with smoked paprika, garlic powder, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Cook in skillet for 6-8 minutes per side until golden and cooked through.
  3. Remove chicken and add 2 minced garlic cloves to the skillet. Sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Pour in 1 cup of chicken broth, scraping the skillet for flavor bits. Increase heat and let simmer. Stir in 1 cup of heavy cream and cook for 3-4 minutes to thicken.
  5. Add 1 cup of cheddar cheese and stir until melted. Return chicken to the skillet and toss to coat.
  6. Add linguine to the skillet, tossing until well coated and heated through.
  7. Serve in bowls, garnishing with chopped parsley and red pepper flakes if desired.
